Ben Yorke-Griffiths

Ben (he/him) is a British dance artist based in Leeds and London, UK. He grew up in Hertfordshire and began his dance training at Let’s Dance Academy, moving onto Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance and Northern School of Contemporary Dance, where he has completed his Masters degree dancing with the Watson Dance Project company throughout 2022/23.

 

During his year with the company, Ben performed in the UK premiere of ‘Gran Bolero’ by Jesús Rubio Gamo and the world premiere of ‘Seeds, Dreams & Constellations’ - a collaboration between Sharon Watson and Corinne Bailey Rae, as well as engaging in research commissions with Magnus Westwell, Marco Di Nardo, and IMPERMANENCE.

 

Since graduating, Ben has gone on to perform with Opera North and Möbius Dance, as well as previously working with Channel 4, Max Gershon, JC Candanedo, and Shane Bradford. 'Zugzwang' marks Ben's 2024 debut with Move Manchester as a company dancer.

Ben continues their work with the company throughout our 24/25 season and remains an integral part of the Move Manchester artistic team and company.
