Kennady Brim (she/her)

Hailing from Winston Salem, NC, United States of America, Kennady Brim is a Company Dancer and Outreach Artist at Move Manchester. She made her debut performance for the company at U-Dance in March 2023. Since then, she has passionately showcased the company's work throughout the UK. In addition to her performances, Kennady has contributed to Move Manchester's outreach initiatives, conducting movement workshops for 500+ young individuals across Greater Manchester. Notably, she has been actively involved in the company's engagement work with Bridge College and Samuel Laycock School, focusing on Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

 

Kennady started her dance journey in Winston, Salem, embracing ballet and competitive dance. At 11, she joined UNCSA's Preparatory Dance Program, progressing to the high school program in 2017. Kennady then honed her skills in New York at Adelphi University, collaborating with renowned companies like The Paul Taylor Dance Company. Additionally, Kennady studied abroad at the London Contemporary Dance School and graduated early with a BFA in 2020, Kennady performed at iconic venues and continued her dance career with UK-based postgraduate company Emergence Dance where they graduated in 2023.

 

Beyond dance, Kennady is a Pilates instructor, passionate about fostering strength and health. She also explores various artistic mediums, including painting, photography, and reading.

 

Kennady continues their work with the company throughout our 24/25 season and remains an integral part of the Move Manchester artistic team and company.
